The majority of U.S. colleges and universities require the SAT for entrance, but more and more are beginning to use the ACT as an alternative. These standardized tests are used to put students from different regions and different schools on a level playing field when applying to university. It is important to realize that good grades alone won't get you into university, and the same is true for just a good SAT/ACT score. In order to be eligible to participate in NCAA Football, you need solid school grades and a solid SAT/ACT score to get yourself approved by the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse.
